According to the press release
issued hereby Fame Sports Football Club (FSFC), Fame Sports FC beat Usmania FC
in a thrilling night fixture. After a warm evening a large number of people and
families of the Model Town came to see the match as the cool breeze night provided
some comfort to families. Match started in an aggressive European manner, but
poor finishing and missed chances prevented any goals in first half.
Second half saw a flurry of
attempts to score and finally scoring for Fame Sports FC started in 64th
minute when Captain Usman Ghani struck first goal through penalty kick awarded
by referee Muhammad Shams on the foul by defender Abdul Rauf of Usmania FC. In 74th
minute Usmain Ghani struck second goal through direct touch for his team.
The match was officiated by Commissioner Shabir Ahmad, Referee Muhammad Shams
and Assistant referees Liaqat Ali Shah and Iqbal Ahmed. Tomorrow at Fame Sports
Football Ground, Model Town Quaid Manga FC will play Sabzazar FC.
