ITF Junior U-18 Circuit Return to Pakistan

February brings cold climes and enjoyment for winter lovers in Islamabad, but this February, the cool breeze will bring another kind of joy and excitement for Tennis lovers!  The Tennis fraternity, in particular, and the nation in general, are preparing to witness top-ranked junior players of the world to exhibit their talent in Islamabad.

 

Senator Syed Dilawar Abbas, Patron, Pakistan Tennis Federation, and Hon. Life Sr. Vice President Asian Tennis Federation was delighted to announce that the  ITF Pakistan Junior are returning to the country after nine years which names Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan Junior and, after the successful conduct of successive Davis cup ties and ITF Futures in 2017 & 2018,  the International Tennis Federation (ITF) agreed to allocate one ITF U-18 Tournament to the PTF, which will be held under the auspicious of Islamabad Tennis Association at Islamabad from 19^th to 24^th February, as per following schedule.

The Venue for event will be the S. D. Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad.

 

This is International Ranking Point Tournament which is attracting international players to participate in the events to improve individual players’ rankings.

 

The number of entries of Boys & Girls received from International players from UK, USA, Thailand, Malaysia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Greece, Canada and Turkey.  While this promises an awesome level of tennis for our players and spectators, it is to be seen how our best will feature against the world’s top level players at home.  The main draw in event is for 32 players in singles, and 16 pairs in doubles, while the Qualifying round for singles is also for 32 players.
