Junior Tennis Initiative program

The opening ceremony of the International Tennis Federation's Junior Tennis Initiative Program for Pakistan was held today at Imperial International School, Islamabad. Mr. Khalid Rehmani, Secretary, Pakistan Tennis Federation, was the chief guest. The purpose of the program is to enlarge the players' base in Pakistan. An enhanced players' base will enable the Tennis Establishment to pick up talented players for further training to make them world class players. More than 100 students (boys & girls) were exposed to the basics of tennis by ITF qualified coaches. Under this program, free rackets, balls and nets were provided to the school. The coaching program is being run 4 days a week. The PTF Secretary appreciated Mr. Kamran Khalil, the JTI National Coordinator, Mr. Taimur Tanveer, Managing Director of the School, and Madam Raheela Asif, Administrator, for their efforts to promote tennis at grass root level. Mr. Khalid Rehmani invited the School to have few practice sessions at the PTF Complex, Islamabad, from time to time.
