McLaren’s Alonso is as
confident as ever returning to the circuit following his pre-season crash. He
will make his season debut over the weekend during the Malaysian Grand Prix in
Kuala Lumpur .
The two
time world champion, stayed out of the season opener in Melbourne on doctor’s
advice. But now the Spaniard has the healer’s clearance, which means that he
has fully recovered from the concussion sustained in a crash during tests.
Fernando
said that the crash during the tests was caused by a trouble with the steering
wheel. He is now ready to put the crash behind him and help his McLaren-Honda team,
which did not have a very successful season opener in Melbourne. The McLaren
team finished 8th in Melbourne, whereas Jenson Button finished the
race at the 11th spot.
This
time around in Kuala Lumpur, even Jenson Button has hopes of driving an
improved engine, although he thinks that the chances of McLaren-Honda jumping
ahead of the teams it trails are very slim.
