Alonso hit his head out of Melbourne

McLaren's Fernando Alonso will watch Formula 1 season opener from the sidelines. Fernando Alonso will not drive for McLaren in Melbourne. The reason is not a contract change. This departure is temporary.

Alonso, 33, had an accident during Circuit de Barcelona-Catlunya on 22nd of February 2015. At a speed of 215kmph Alonso lost control of his car. As a result of crash he suffered two blows to his head. The doctors have advised the two times Formula 1 Champion to avoid anyunnecessary risks.

Fernando will be replaced by spare driver Kevin Magnussen. Magnussen is just 22 and as per his tweet he is excited about the opportunity.

The Formula 1 season opener in Melbourne is scheduled for 15 March 2015.

All Alonso and McLaren fans should not worry, because all medical tests show that Alonso is perfectly healthy. The doctors have decided to take precautions to avoid any chances of a second impact. 

So lets hope we will see Alonso back in the McLaren cockpit following Melbourne, unless Manussen shows some extraordinary feat in Melbourne.
